CorkKeep
Terms of Use
Last updated 19 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Hallows Group (“we”), which runs CorkKeep: the websites at corkkeep.app and my.corkkeep.app and the CorkKeep apps for iPhone and Android. By creating an account or using CorkKeep you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Who can use CorkKeep
CorkKeep is about wine. You must be of legal drinking age where you live, and at least 18, to use it. We do not sell, ship or broker alcohol: CorkKeep is a record of bottles you already own.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at support@corkkeep.app if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
Your cellar is yours
The bottles, notes, ratings and photos you add remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them so that we can provide CorkKeep to you and to anyone you choose to share your cellar with. Only add photos and text you have the right to use. You can export your cellar as a CSV at any time. How we handle your information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Sharing a cellar
If you invite someone as an editor they can add, change and remove bottles in your cellar; a viewer can only look. You are responsible for who you invite, and you can remove them at any time.
Drinking windows, the catalog and Merlot
Drinking windows, wine details, label matches and everything Merlot says are information to help you decide, not guarantees. Some of it is estimated by software, including AI, and can be wrong. How a bottle tastes depends on how it has been stored and on things we cannot see. Wine details come from licensed catalogs: you may use them inside CorkKeep for your own cellar, and may not copy or extract them in bulk.
Free and Premium
- CorkKeep has a Free plan with limits and a paid Premium plan. The limits, what Premium adds and the current prices are shown on the Premium page and in the app before you buy.
- Premium is a subscription, billed yearly or monthly, that renews automatically until you cancel. The yearly plan may begin with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers; you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed by Apple, and those bought in the Android app by Google. Subscriptions bought on the website are billed through Stripe. Cancel in your Apple or Google account settings, or from the Premium page on the website, at least a day before renewal.
- Cancelling stops future charges and you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Except where the law says otherwise, payments are not refunded; refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are decided by Apple and Google under their own policies.
- If Premium ends, your cellar is kept. You can still see, edit, export and remove everything in it, but you cannot add bottles or tags beyond the Free limits until you subscribe again or make room.
- We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, after we or the store have given you notice.
Using CorkKeep fairly
Do not use CorkKeep to break the law, do not try to get into other people’s cellars or our systems, do not scrape or overload the service, and do not resell it. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
Ending things
You can stop using CorkKeep whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@corkkeep.app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever decide to shut CorkKeep down we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your cellar.
Our responsibility to you
We work to keep CorkKeep available and your cellar safe, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data you could have exported, or for decisions you make about buying, keeping, opening or selling wine, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
The App Store
If you got the app from Apple’s App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it, and has no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price where the law requires it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and tell you in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect. Carrying on using CorkKeep after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the consumer law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
