CorkKeep
Accessibility
Effective 11 October 2026
Hallows Group, LLC wants everyone who keeps wine to be able to use CorkKeep: the websites at corkkeep.app and my.corkkeep.app and the apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
The standard we build to
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had CorkKeep audited against them, so we do not claim full conformance.
How CorkKeep is built
- The website is built to be used with a keyboard: anything you can focus shows a visible ring, and every page starts with a link that skips to the main content.
- Form fields have labels that stay visible while you type, and images and icon buttons have text alternatives.
- Our colours are chosen for a contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for the edges of form fields, in both the light and dark themes.
- A bottle’s drinking window is always written out, never shown by colour alone.
- The website follows your system setting for reduced motion, and you can choose a light or dark theme.
- The apps label their buttons and controls for VoiceOver and TalkBack and follow your text size.
What we have not checked yet
- We have not yet gone through CorkKeep end to end with only a keyboard or with a screen reader, or checked every app screen at the largest text sizes.
- The sign-in and sign-up forms come from Clerk, our sign-in provider, and follow Clerk’s accessibility, not ours.
Tell us
If something in CorkKeep is hard or impossible for you to use, write to support@corkkeep.app and say what you were trying to do and on which device. We will reply, and where we can fix it we will.
